Thank you for your interest in the Flourish Children Foundation’s Charitable Giving Partnership Opportunity. Flourish Children Foundation advocates for the health, safety and welfare of all children. Marc and Lauren Douglass created the Fire and Ice Festival in 2013 as a way to help raise awareness and funding for local nonprofit agencies that provide services to children. In 2014, they presented a combined total of $20,000 to the Weekend Hunger Backpack Program and the YMCA. Flourish Children Foundation is currently accepting partnership applications for the 2015 Fire and Ice Festival. Please read the information below to submit your application.

The process of entering your agency for selection consists of the following steps:

• You must meet basic Eligibility Requirements for Partnership Consideration.

• You must submit an Online application via our website.

After submitting your application, it will be reviewed by the Flourish Children’s Foundation Advisory Board. The selected Agency will be notified by (Date). All other eligible applicants will be entered into a drawing, to be held on the day of the event, for a donation of $500 to their agency.

Getting started:

To get started, you must first check your organization’s eligibility. Check Your Eligibility below. If you’re eligible, you can begin your application.

Your organization is a nonprofit tax exempt 501(C)3
Your organization focus is on children’s issues
Your organization serves the Gainesville area
Funds will be used exclusively in the Gainesville area
You are able to provide volunteer support for the event (Fire and Ice Festival)
You are able to help promote the event (Fire and Ice Festival)
You are able to help with sponsorship opportunities

Important:  Please be prepared to furnish us with contact and financial information (including total revenue and fiscal operating expenses) for your organization. To complete the application, you will also need:

  • your mission statement
  • the number of children your serve
  • a brief description of how the funding will be used (500 character limit)
  • the number of volunteers you can provide for the event
  • how you can help promote the event

Having this information prepared ahead of time will help ensure the application process goes smoothly.
